Devon and Cornwall Food Action (DCFA): Celebrating Our Impact and Volunteer Dedication
Devon and Cornwall Food Action (DCFA) is proud to share the significant impact of our work. We acknowledge and celebrate the incredible efforts and dedication of our volunteers. Their selfless contributions are the backbone of our mission.
Celebrating Our Impact 💥 💪 🌍
This past December, we made a real difference in the lives of 685 individuals and families. From our Plymouth Hub and at Pop-Ups, we provided them with grocery bundles that fill a shopping trolley for a nominal £25 contribution. This alone rescued over 17 tonnes of food through our food-saving and redistribution efforts. This translates to roughly 17,125 meals for people in our community (based on an average 25kg per bundle / 1kg per meal).
But our reach goes beyond this support. Our efforts extend to supporting local soup runs, schools, and breakfast clubs, working hand-in-hand with community organisations and public bodies to ensure food reaches those who need it most. This collaboration is the key to fostering a stronger, healthier community for all.
Recognising And Celebrating Our Volunteers 🌟 👏 😊
None of this would be possible without the unwavering dedication and hard work of our volunteers. Their compassion and commitment are the heart and soul of DCFA. Day in and day out, they give their time, energy, and skills to ensure that no one in our community has to go hungry. We are deeply grateful for each and every one of you. We want to say a heartfelt thank you for your incredible service. Your efforts are truly making a positive impact on countless lives.
