What Do We Need

So we all know there is no such thing as a free lunch right? Well the same is true for our services. While we are a charity and strive every day to help those that are really in need of this service there is no free lunch to be had.

Food is at the core of what we need. If you are a grower, producer, manufacturer, shop, supermarket or some other organisation dealing with food and produce that has to dispose of goods which are perfectly fit for consumption but due to some flaw do not meet exacting standards for sale through traditional channels then we would love to hear from you. We can probably take this food from you saving you money in the process in not having to get it hauled to a landfill or disposal processor.

With the generous help of Plymouth City Council we have recently relocated to a fantastic fit for purpose 7,000sqft warehouse located in the north of Plymouth. With this help we have continued to provide and develop our service working toward our goals of eradicating food poverty throughout Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall.

We would love to work with any providers to cut our running costs. If you could supply energy efficient LED lighting, reduce our utility outlay, provide solutions for us to easier manipulate and move our warehouse equipment or have simple solutions that would help us operate more efficiently then please get in touch.

At the moment we would not even exist if it wasn't for the good will and damned hard work that all of our volunteers put into the charity. That said we are always needing an extra pair of hands be it food packing, cleaning, delivering, taking in new stock, Admin, book keeping and making the coffee! If you can spare a day or even a few hours a week to help out with a really good local cause then please get in touch by email, phone or drop us a message using our online contact form let us know what your specific talent is, how you could help us and we'll get back to you.

If you are a commercial refrigeration supplier then we are desperate for your help. We are currently running banks of domestic fridges, freezers and fridge freezers to store our perishable goods. We need a better system or even a cold store once we are settled in the new premises.

We constantly need to raise funds to exist. Rent, Utility bills, running the Morrisons Van and a whole host of other nominal expenses all need to be funded.

Fork Lift

Our volunteers currently have to offload paletted goods by hand from some deliveries. A fork lift would ease this workload where a tail lift is not available on the delivery vehicles and our manual palette truck is useless in such a situation.
